Alexandra is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida with a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from the University of South Florida. Alexandra’s therapeutic approach is educational, psychoanalytic, CBT- and person-centered, aiming to educate and empower clients to believe in their ability to take life’s challenges as opportunities for growth and create new healthy habits and thought processes.
Her practice style utilizes her experience in working with a plethora of different populations, including a wide array of cultures and religious backgrounds, which she gained from personal experience with her own family and traveling around the world, practicing in an Agency setting, Private Practice and Social Services organizations where she helped children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. Alexandra’s current goal is to utilize her experience and education to provide therapy for adolescents, adults, families and couples specializing in teaching skills for dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, stress, self-esteem, emotional abuse, communication skills, adjusting to life changes, anger, cultural concerns, biculturalism, personality disorders, bipolar, lack of motivation, parenting skills, career challenges, and other barriers to mental health services. Alexandra strives to assess within the full context of an individual’s life. This includes being considerate of various interlocking identities, ways in which current relationships may influence presenting concerns, as well as past and present experiences. She aims to inspire a belief in each individual’s power to succeed with a nonjudgmental, caring and confidential environment.
